🍁 November 2024

🎣 Last angling session of the month before I head to the capital

It’s been an interesting month from an angling perspective.

At some point anyway, as we move on in the year, the weather takes a turn for the worst, and that’s what we’ve seen during the month of November.

However, it’s not all been doom and gloom on the meteorological front because, as was the case today, it was very spring-like as I made my way to a pond.

It was the same spot that I fished on my last session, which was just yesterday.

I do get out most days.

It’s a hard life sometimes, isn’t it?

Just the one perch and roach on the bank in the end but it was a short session.

Next stop, the capital.

Tackle, bait and tactics

Greys Prodigy TX 12’ rod. Shimano 3500M reel. Maxima Chameleon 4lb line.

Drennan 1.2g waggler. Drennan Super Specialist size 14 hook.

Fished a couple of rod-lengths from the bank in six-feet of water, I presented three red maggots / two white maggots over red/white maggots and brown crumb beneath overhanging trees.

Nature notes

Raven calling in flight passed through.

A very noisy ring-necked parakeet in flight.
