🌲 Weather stops fishing play, so I went for a walk instead
It was frosty even before it was dark yesterday and, due to the fact that it was a sharp frost, the windshield on the car was frozen over at that time.
With the nights being considerably longer than the days at the moment, it meant that the stillwaters that I would have considered as options this morning, were all frozen solid.
In addition, the rivers weren’t even on the radar, due to the fact that they are in flood and have burst their banks.
Therefore, I had a rare morning off from fishing.
I still went out though, with my wife and dog, as we walked Cotwall End Valley, our immediate local area.
I always take my binoculars and, on this occasion, I saw a peregrine perched on the chimney at Baggeridge.
Regarding the walk, we made our way up the slope to the western ridge of the valley, and you can see some of the footage in the accompanying video.
The opening clip is from the back window at home. I never get tired of looking out across the valley.
