🎣 The far-right, Monday morning fishing, Mr. Clumsy and Bayside Radio

The far-right? Well, there more on that in the video, as well as Mr. Clumsy.

As far as the fishing is concerned, the pool that I visited was very coloured indeed, which is what you would expect following the passing through of Storm Bert.

As long as your bait’s in the water though, you’ve always got a chance.

I didn’t catch any perch or roach but I had a couple of nice bream.

Well, nice for the venue anyway.

You can follow the session in the video.

Tackle, bait and tactics

Greys Prodigy TX 12’ rod. Shimano 3500M reel. Maxima Chameleon 4lb line.

Drennan 1.2g waggler. Drennan Super Specialist size 14 hook.

Fishing two rod-lengths from the bank in six-feet of water, I presented three red maggots over red/white maggots and brown crumb.

Nature notes

There are two resident moorhens on this particular pool and they have been joined by a third bird, which they don’t like.

As I arrived at the water’s edge, one of the pair was trying to drown the newcomer.

Cormorant flew the length of the pool, fairly low. Saw me and didn’t land. I saved the lives of a few fish there.

Bayside Radio chats

It’s a familiar Monday morning path, as far as I’m concerned.

I go fishing, come back home, have a shower and get changed and then settle down to talk with Jeff Pearson for his afternoon show on Bayside Radio.

We record in advance and fishing conversation goes out on Thursday afternoon and a day later it’s Welsh football.

There’s a short clip in the accompanying video from the former.
