🎣 Quality before quantity on a late afternoon perch session and Bayside Radio
With some work scheduled at home, I didn’t go fishing in the morning as I usually do, but the plan was to go afterwards, once the work was completed.
However, things didn’t go to plan as is often the case, and although the workman came first thing and then said I’m just popping out, he didn’t return until late afternoon.
We didn’t think he was coming back, so I went angling anyway.
As it happened, he did return but my wife was able to give him access and let him do his stuff.
The fishing? Well, I returned to the pool where I have had three blanks on the bounce.
It always produces more effectively in the morning than the afternoon but, as I’m struggling at the start of the day at the moment anyway, I thought that there’s nothing to lose.
And everything to gain.
Indeed I did and I’m thrilled to say that I got back on track in style.
Just the one perch but it was definitely a case of quality over quantity.

Bayside Radio
Once home, I recorded my weekly slots with Jeff Pearson for his Bayside Radio afternoon show.
We talk Welsh football and angling, with some of the latter in the accompanying video.
