I don’t think about it, and I certainly don’t sit there counting the days down, however this is the time of the month when the premium bonds draw is made and revealed.
I don’t battle tired eyes either, but as I was still in the land of the living, my wife and I clicked on the app to see what goodies – or otherwise – were in store for us in July.
We both had two positive results and, with each one being £25, we just about made the ‘hundreds’ category.
In terms of the amount invested, and our expectation levels, £100 is as low as we like to go.
Although I didn’t catch any fish, there was still plenty to talk about when I chatted with Jeff Pearson in the afternoon for his Bayside Radio weekly afternoon show.
There are two seven-figure winners each month so, as I went to bed, I said to my wife: ‘This time next month, Deborah, we’ll be millionaires’.
