🎣 Catching fish and then The Curse arrived
I didn’t wake up as bright-eyed as I usually do this morning.
I can’t think why, it’s as if I didn’t get a wink of sleep the previous night…
Stir I did though eventually, and after making a flask of tea and loading the car with my gear, I made my way to the lake that I’ve spent a lot of time on recently.
I’m enjoying my tench sessions, and although autumn seems a long way off, in reality it’s less than two months until we hit September and, as we know, time flies when you’re having fun.
I’m certainly enjoying my time pursuing tincas, there’s no doubt about that.
After going through my usual ritual of mixing brown crumb and sweetcorn, throwing a few balls out and then casting, I also followed a familiar pattern, as I settled back, made a cup of tea and watched the rod tip.
I didn’t have long to wait for the first fish, not a tench but nevertheless I wasn’t a blanker, because I caught a small roach. Again, not long after that, I did bank my target species.
Followed by a second one.
Then, the curse arrived…
