⚽️ 🏴 The flag remains
I hung the English flag over my garage door at home, on the day that we began the Euro 2024 campaign.
The good news is, that following the quarter-final game against Switzerland, it’s still there.
I often think of football as a rollercoaster experience, in terms of emotions, and that game most definitely fitted the bill on that front.
Going 1-0 down with just 15 minutes to go, it didn’t look good for England.
However, an equaliser not only took the encounter to extra-time, but also penalties.
As any football fan knows, the shoot-out is always a lottery.
You win some and you lose others, on this occasion though, as far as England were concerned, it was the former.
A 5-3 victory and we’re into the last four.
