⚽️ UEFA Champions League football to get the season off to a great start
After eight pre-season friendly games, the rubber hit the competitive road for The New Saints, when we hosted the champions of Montenegro, FK Dečić, in the UEFA Champions League.
With just four minutes on the clock, Brad Young scored TNS’ first competitive goal of the season, and then he doubled his own tally later on in the first-half, before Danny Davies made it 3-0 eight minutes before the break.
That’s how the game ended, which puts The New Saints in a very good position going into the second-leg next week in the Balkans.
There was lots of stuff going on around the game and I captured some of that in the video.
I do enjoy the behind-the-scenes videos, as they give an insight into what goes on, not just on the pitch but also in the dressing room etc.
Following the game, I interviewed Craig Harrison and Brad Young and the latter signed my programme.
It was great to have Wales C manager, Mark Jones, on TNS TV as we streamed the game, and I got Jonah to sign my team sheet.
