🍁 October 2024

🎣 A lure angling session, a dusk walk in the valley and 1,111 consecutive weeks

I enjoyed my mini-jigging during the week, when I fished a canal on the way to work.

Talking of work, I didn’t get to bed until the early hours of the morning so I decided to have a late afternoon fishing trip today rather than the early mornings that I’ve become accustomed to.

With an hour to spare, lure fishing it was.

I caught perch and played a pike for about 30 seconds before I lost it.

As always, there’s more in the video.

Nature notes while fishing

Eight mute swans landed on the lake.

A dusk walk in the valley

I arrived home from fishing with enough time to go for a walk in the local area.

I enjoy the strolls along the golf course, especially when there’s a nice sunset.

I take my dog and binoculars, so get to kill more than one bird with one stone.

It was a beautiful evening and I could see all the usual hills in the distance including my favourite, Crib-y-garth.

Another Saturday and another week of blogging completed

Today is 1,111 consecutive weeks that I’ve been blogging.

As I so often say, it’s always a pleasure and never a burden.
