🎣 Back on track with the prawn after perch fishing

I woke up at 4.00 a.m.and I don’t know whether it was a dream or a thought that came to me at that moment in time but, I had the idea to try a different venue to the one that I’ve been on recently, where I’ve been fishing prawn after perch.

It seemed very feasible and, right up to the time that I was loading the car, a couple of hours or so later, the alternative was still on my mind.

However, it was extremely mild and so I decided to return to the original pool.

After a few very slow sessions, there’s nothing like a challenge is there, so that you can get back on track.

Tackle, bait and tactics

Greys Prodigy TX 12’ rod. Shimano 3500M reel. Maxima Chameleon 4lb line.

Drennan 1.2g waggler. Drennan Super Specialist size 8 hook.

A sharp drop-off from the margins, so fishing in six-feet of water, just off the rod tip.

I loose fed prawns in accordance with the action.
