🍄 Fungi hunting on Penn Common in Staffordshire and, in particular, fly agaric
As someone who loves the natural world, that includes fungi as well.
My favourite is the fly agaric.
Even if you have never heard of it before, then no doubt once you see it, you’ll instantly recognise the iconic fungi.
It’s the red one with the white spots, which is associated with fairies, and is a familiar sight on a wide variety of things, from garden ornaments to cards etc.
This morning, I went hunting for fly agaric on Penn Common.
It’s one of our local areas and, even though I did drive on this occasion, although it’s a good walk I can get there without the car.
As well as my target fungi, I also came across lots of others as well.
If you love the natural world, enjoy the video.
