🎣 Another fishing for perch with prawn angling session

Again this morning, I was up before the alarm.

However, as the year moves on, that’s not particularly a hard thing to do because the hours of darkness are now greater than daylight in a 24-hour cycle.

As anglers though, we just get on with whatever the external conditions are.

Talking of which, the pool looked quite good this morning, as the heavy tinge has now dropped out following the recent rain.

It was another short session but, as we know, it’s all about quality over quantity when it comes to angling time.

I caught some nice perch and they can be viewed in the video.

Tackle, bait and tactics

Greys Prodigy TX 12’ rod. Shimano 3500M reel. Maxima Chameleon 4lb line.

Drennan 1.2g waggler. Drennan Super Specialist size 8 hook.

A sharp drop-off from the margins, so fishing in six-feet of water, just off the rod tip.

I loose fed prawns and fished prawn on the hook.

Nature notes while fishing

Lots of jay activity and at least two birds in the immediate area.
