🎣 A very slow angling session to start the working week, followed by Bayside Radio
As we progress into autumn, things are definitely slowing down on the fishing front.
Well, certainly as far as my prawn-after- perch approach is concerned.
I do have other plans but, because I’m enjoying the small pool that I’m on at the moment very much, I’m happy to continue until the results dry up.
This morning’s session was slow. Very slow indeed.
I did have a few twitches on the float though, so the fish are out there.
It could be that they were small roach but, I’m happy to sit it out for a larger perch.
It’s not always about catching just for the sake of it, in order to avoid a blank.
There are plenty of those when you pursue bigger fish.

Tackle, bait and tactics
Greys Prodigy TX 12’ rod. Shimano 3500M reel. Maxima Chameleon 4lb line.
Drennan 1.2g waggler. Drennan Super Specialist size 8 hook.
A sharp drop-off from the margins, so fishing in six-feet of water, just off the rod tip.
I loose fed prawns in accordance with the action, which was slow.

Once home after fishing, I did my weekly chats with Jeff Pearson for his radio show.
We talk Welsh football and fishing, although we did get technical issues this morning, so we will have to complete everything later.
Whether small issues or major problems, life doesn’t always run smoothly.
