🎥 Alias Jesse James (1959) starring Bob Hope, Rhonda Fleming and Wendell Corey

A comedy, with the always brilliant, Bob Hope, playing Milford Farnsworth, a useless insurance salesman.

He sells a policy to Jesse James (played by Wendell Corey) and is then sent by his boss to the wild west to protect his investment.

Meanwhile, Jesse James plots for Farnsworth to be killed in his clothes, so that he can claim the payout for himself.

While all this is going on, Farnsworth and James’ girl, Cora Lee Collins (played by Rhonda Fleming) fall in love.

In the shootout that ensues, Farnsworth thinks he has beat the James gang  on his own but there are a number of comedy cameos from the likes of Roy Rogers (as himself), Gary Cooper (as himself) and Bing Crosby, who says ‘This fellow needs all the help he can get’.

In the end, Milford and Corey Lee get married and they have six children of their own, with another one on the way,

A brilliant film. Loved it.
