🎣 Fishing the tail end of Storm Éowyn

I’ve really enjoyed my angling on the River Severn lately, even if it has been slow at times, especially the last two sessions.

With the tail end of storm Éowyn still blowing through, I waited until the afternoon before I cast a line on a small pool.

I knew the venue would be safe and sheltered, so two important boxes to tick there.

With a roach on the bank early on, it was nice to bring the run of two blanks to an end.

I caught a few more. Nothing big but then again, just nice to get something on the bank.

I fished in five feet of water, over brown crumb and red/white maggots, with two red maggots on the hook, flicking the bait beneath overhanging trees.
