⚽️ Defeat for The New Saints in Merionethshire and five games to go
Although it’s been an incredibly successful season for The New Saints in terms of UEFA Conference League progression, nevertheless the domestic JD Cymru Premier campaign has stumbled at times.
That was the case against Bala Town at Maes Tegid, when The New Saints suffered the fifth league defeat of the campaign so far.
To bring that into perspective, the club went unbeaten last season, lost one game previous to that and just two in the preceding season.
All that separated the sides at Maes Tegid was a 39th minute penalty from George Newell.
The New Saints had plenty of chances though, but unfortunately, none of them were converted.
Although the concern button might be pushed at the moment, it’s certainly not the panic one because, the side is just four points off the top of the table, with a game in hand.
There are now just five games to go until Christmas.
I don’t know about you but I’m certainly looking forward to December 25.
Not just the one day though, it’s the whole festive season.
It’s a wonderful time of the year.
