Football GroundHopping

IMG_2738

I went to my first football game in 1963 – at Molineux when Stan Cullis was still on the throne – and over the years I’ve been to thousands of matches. However, sitting down and working through the list of grounds I have visited, I realised it wasn’t as comprehensive as you’d imagine, as most games have been Wolves at home,

So, always appreciating a personal challenge, I decided for the 2017/2018 season – and beyond – I would start visiting new venues. I’ve always had a groundhopping gene, just that it’s never really been exercised – until now.

All new places will appear in my blog and then added to the list that you can access below.

The current number of grounds visited is 283 in 23 countries (Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Faroe Islands, France, Gibraltar, Hungary, Ireland, Kosovo, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Northern Ireland, Portugal, San Marino, Scotland, South Africa, Sweden, USA, and last but certainly not least, Wales)

The latest new ground is Memorial Playing Fields, Ruthin.
