❄️ December 2024

⚽️ A positive result in Barry and it’s off to Newtown in the Welsh League Cup final for The New Saints

It was another overnight stay for The New Saints, ahead of the Nathaniel MG Cup (Welsh League Cup) semi-final at Jenner Park against Barry Town United.

However, setting off from Cardiff the following day, as we approached Barry, we found ourselves behind a collision involving cars.

It was a lengthy delay, which meant kick-off had to pushed back.

We got there in the end though.

A Declan McManus brace before the break gave The New Saints a comfortable 2-0 lead, then Kayne McLaggon pulled one back for the hosts.

It ended 2-1 though, as the current holders look to retain the trophy.

The final will be in February against Aberystwyth Town at Newtown’s Latham Park.

Adrian Bradley (Sion’s dad) joined me on TNS TV.

Leo Smith signed my team sheet.

On the way back home (I arrived at 2.40 a.m.) I saw a Shropshire barn owl and a Staffordshire muntjac.
