How to establish a cheap and easy water feature in the garden

🐟 You can never have too many water features in the garden

As a very keen angler, it will come as no surprise to say that I absolutely love water. That certainly includes features in the garden as well.

The latest initiative is a tub on the patio, which is now occupied by fish.

You can see the process in the video and the important thing is that it’s an easy way to establish a water feature, and therefore to enjoy fish, as opposed to digging out a pond, which not everyone is able to do.

It was also a cheap project as well.

Barrel tub. B&M, Merry Hill. Although it is plastic, it’s good quality and doesn’t look tacky or cheap £29.99.

Fish. Maidenhead Aquatics, based at Bridgnorth Garden Centre. Six for £15.00.

Stones. Gathered locally. Free.

Weed. Transferred from one of my other water features in the garden. Free.

The footage features the tub, so you can see what you’re getting for yourself, if you’re considering going down that particular route.
