Starring my favourite actress, Doris Day, in The Glass Bottom Boat from 1966
🎥 Featuring Doris Day (as Jennifer Nelson) and Rod Taylor (as Bruce Templeton), it’s a spy comedy movie.
Jennifer gets a job at an aerospace company and meets Bruce.
They had already encountered one another when, as a fisherman, he hooked Jennifer as she played the role of a mermaid in her dad‘s business – the glass bottom boat.
While working for the company, she is suspected of being a spy. It all works out in the end though.
I recognised the couple who live by Jennifer, and they play exactly the same parts as they do in the television series Bewitched.
They are George Tobias and Alice Pearce, who play Abner and Gladys Kravitz in the comedy witch tv series.
It also features Robert Vaughan, who doesn’t speak, and his part is just a few seconds, with the Man From U.N.C.LE. music playing while he’s on the screen.
