Blood test results and A church speaking engagement
🩸Blood test results
A few months back, when I had my NHS MOT, my cholesterol was slightly above where it should be.
When I went for the appointment with the nurse, she offered me statins as a way of reducing the level.
I asked if there was an alternative route, rather than taking medicine as a first port of call.
At that time I was eating cheese every day and, I said to her can I go a period of time, and try to lower the cholesterol myself.
I eliminated cheese, and last week went for another blood test.
I contacted the surgery today and the good news is that the result came back as ‘normal’.
I’ve got nothing against taking medicines, of course, but on a personal level if I can affect things myself by lifestyle or dietary changes, then I would prefer to do that first.
