📹 Watch the accompanying video
Filmed at the water’s edge, the video shows the fish that were caught, as well as thoughts shared.
I also had a blank memory moment, which I decided to include anyway.
I tend to keep my videos as they are, and don’t find myself recording numerous clips again and again, just so that I can get it right.
Warts and all, as they say.
🪱 Tackle, bait and tactics
Greys Prodigy TX 12’ rod. Shimano 3500M reel. Maxima Chameleon 4lb line.
Drennan 1.2g waggler. Drennan Super Specialist size 10 hook.
A sharp drop-off from the margins, so fishing in six-feet of water, just off the rod tip.
I presented a single prawn and, due to the depth of water, I created a firm brown crumb mix which contained prawns.
I also threw out loose prawns during the session.
🦆 Nature notes while fishing
While the rain fell and the breeze blew in, a chiffchaff was singing loudly from trees around the pool.
I heard them first before I saw them, as two ring-necked parakeets made their way over the pool.
