✝️ A church speaking engagement
A couple of Sundays ago, while walking our dog during the evening, in the area where we live, my wife and I bumped into someone that we’ve known for many years.
She’s a widow and she invited us into her home for a cup of coffee.
She goes to church herself (Methodist) and asked if I would be interested in going to speak there.
I said I would and today, following a telephone call, I’ve got a date for January next year.
I used to speak at different churches pretty much every week, then that came to close as I concentrated on Tipton Family Church.
Following the closure of the church, things have been slow, as far as speaking engagements are concerned.
However, it’s been something that I’ve been looking at – in the sense of hoping for things to develop – and that certainly seems to be the case of late.
It’s not the sort of thing where you go round promoting and touting yourself, rather you are the one that’s approached.
That’s when you know you’re on the right track.
You don’t have to try and force doors open, they open for you themselves.
