๐ฃ ๐๏ธ An early morning tench session, followed by a shopping trip
It was certainly a fresh start to the day, as I kicked the angling session off in my Trakker jacket.
By the time I finished, less than three hours later, I was wearing a fleece, having shed a bulky layer of clothing.
As far as fishing is concerned though, itโs all about the water temperature and not the air.
You can follow the session via the video and, as well as tench, I also caught a nice roach.
I fished a grain of corn over brown crumb and corn at twenty metres.
Tackle: Fox Barbel Special 1.5 test curve rod and an Okuma Zeon reel. 6lb Maxima Chameleon, with a six-inch hook-length created by a small shot and an 8mm bead. Above that was a 1/2 ounce lead. Size 10 Drennan Super Specialist hook.
Nature notes: Kingfisher in low flight across the lake. Approximately 20 swifts feeding.
I had a very pleasant surprise when my friend, Ian Clarke, dropped by to see me.
After a shower and change at home, I went on a shopping trip etc, details of which can be found in the video.
