🎣 📻 What a difference a day makes but angling is the common denominator, followed by Bayside Radio

The previous morning was sunny, still and definitely summer-like.

A day later and there were strong winds, heavy rain and it felt like November.

One thing both had in common though was that I was up nice and early to go fishing.

At the risk of repeating myself, you can’t allow the weather to dictate to your angling.

You might change approach, venue and species but the bottom line is just go anyway.

It might be more of a challenge if the conditions are adverse and that was most certainly the case today.

In the couple of hours I was there, I didn’t get a bite.

I don’t know if there were any tench feeding over the brown crumb and corn because the water was too choppy to see feeding bubbles.

Tackle: Fox Barbel Special 1.5 test curve rod and an Okuma Zeon reel. 6lb Maxima Chameleon, with a six-inch hook-length created by a small shot and an 8mm bead. Above that was a 1/2 ounce lead. Size 10 Drennan Super Specialist hook.

Nature notes: Approximately 12 swifts feeding over the lake.

Once home, I showered, changed and did my weekly Bayside Radio angling and Welsh football slots with Jeff Pearson.
