⚽️ The final pre-season friendly, as Macclesfield FC visit Park Hall
Although the competitive games have begun, there is still an overlap, because this was the final friendly game of the pre-season campaign for The New Saints.
Although there were a few seasoned professionals in the squad for the game against Macclesfield FC, there were also lots of younger players.
Against a good Silkmen team, The New Saints did well, and although results aren’t even important as far as this type of game is concerned, nevertheless it was a credible 1-1 draw come the final whistle.
We’re still in July and for most clubs, the campaign hasn’t even begun, but for The New Saints this was my 11th match so far in 2024/2025.
There was a team sheet, and that was signed by Dan Williams, who I also interviewed as the player choice this time round.
