🎣 🚗 Tench fishing, waging war on the motorist, the Simon Spender tinca challenge and The Curse
Before I even got to the fishing venue this morning, I saw a dead roe deer at the side of the road.
It always saddens me when I see dead creatures, especially when many of the deaths could be avoided, but there’s more on that in the video.
Hence the reference to war on the motorist in the heading.
After two tench blanks yesterday, it was nice to get back on track this morning, when I landed a tinca very early in the session.
It was my usual approach, fishing at twenty metres from the bank, with a single grain of sweetcorn over brown crumb and loose corn.
If you watched the rig-making video that I filmed in Hungary recently, then you’ll know that Simon Spender gave me a tench challenge.
I have two weeks to hit the target and, although the first fish was off the mark, nevertheless it was a good start, and I was hopeful that I would add to the tally and perhaps beat the challenge itself.
Then The Curse turned up.
Say no more.
