🎣 Perch fishing on the Staffs/Worcs Canal and angling memories with Ian Clarke
Not just because I’ve been catching decent perch but, generally speaking, I have been enjoying my visits to the Staffs/Worcs Canal over the last week or so.
Naturally though, the big stripies have been a pull and, up at 5.42 a.m. (yes, the alarm is still set at that random time), I made a flask of tea, loaded the car with fishing tackle and set off for the canal.
It’s still mild and, although it wasn’t just a tee-shirt session today, I only needed a hoodie to feel comfortable.
Obviously, things will change in due course but, in the meantime, I’m making the most of the pleasant conditions.
As always, you can follow the session via the video, where I caught both my target species and roach. Plus, a small gudgeon.
It was also good to see The Curse, when Ian Clarke put in an appearance. We recorded chat, which again, can be viewed via the video.
