🎣 Lots and lots and lots of perch, a few roach, one gudgeon and one eel on the Staffs/Worcs Canal
After playing football and going to bed at 1.00 a.m., I wasn’t planning on an early angling start.
However, at 5.00 a.m. I was wide awake and, in no time at all, on my way to the Staffordshire/Worcestershire Canal.
As per the heading, it was action all the way in the couple of hours or so that I fished, and I banked four species.
Tackle: Greys Prodigy TX 12’ rod. Shimano 3500M reel. Maxima Chameleon 4lb line. Drennan waggler 0.8g. Drennan Super Specialist size 14 hook.
Nature notes: Grey heron on the towpath when I arrived. Kingfisher (two sightings) in flight along the canal.
