🎶 Live At The Copa as Dennis Edwards takes the Temptations’ reins
Released in 1968, Live At The Copa was the Temptations’ first album with Dennis Edwards on lead vocals, following the departure of David Ruffin.
The Copa in question is New York’s Copacabana Supper Club.
I’m not a particular fan of live albums, so a handful of plays in the car and it’s time to move on.
Tracks like Get Ready, I Wish It Would Rain and Please Return Your Love To Me are great but, as far as listening is concerned, I prefer studio versions to live performances.
Having said all that, it is my favourite group we’re talking about, so it’s still good.
