🎣 A not planned double-session on the Staffs/Worcs Canal
With four hours sleep behind me, I was up at 4.30 a.m. to go fishing, with the Staffordshire/Worcestershire Canal once again the destination.
After a couple of minutes the fish were in the swim and I was catching regularly. Then it all came to an abrupt end, when someone came along placing numbered markers in the ground, ahead of a contest.
The club website – they have a designated page for bookings – didn’t show anything. However, I just moved anyway, which involved a walk of five minutes to the next stretch, which is controlled by another club.
Funnily enough, I had already checked their website as well, so I knew that was free. Hopefully.
It was and I carried on my morning’s angling there.
I caught bream, perch and roach from both spots.
Tackle: Greys Prodigy TX 12’ rod. Shimano 3500M reel. Maxima Chameleon 4lb line. Drennan waggler 0.8g. Drennan Super Specialist size 14 hook.
