🎥 I’ll Walk Beside You (1943)
Stars Richard Brent as John Bird and Lesley Brook as Ann Johnson.
The couple meet in a record shop and hit it off immediately.
Then John is sent on a naval mission where the ship is torpedoed and he loses his memory.
Ann thinks he has died, then their paths cross shortly afterwards, but John doesn’t know who she is.
Then, after being hit in the head by a German bullet, not only does he recover but also his memory is restored and they get back together.
The title of the movie is also that of a well-known song from the 1930s.
It features regularly throughout the film, including being sung by John McHugh, who starred as himself.
He was a very well-known Wolverhampton-born tenor.

A Hammer comedy starring Hy Hazel as Pat and Michael Medwin as Johnny.
Seeking excitement, Pat leads Johnny on an adventure, where they encounter a gang of art thieves.
They stop them from smuggling treasures out of the country.
Also stars Sid James as Carlo.
🎥 Home To Danger (1951)
When Barbara Cummings’ (played by Rona Anderson) father dies, she returns home and finds that she’s inherited huge amounts of money in his will.
Then she becomes the target of murder attempts.
She survives though and, after several deaths, everything works out for Barbara.
Also stars Stanley Baker.
🎥 How To Marry A Millionaire (1953)
An all-star cast, as Lauren Bacall (Schatze Page), Betty Grable (Loco Dempsey) and Marilyn Monroe (Pola Debevoise) rent a very posh New York apartment and set out to marry rich men.
It’s a comedy and very funny to watch how the plans develop.
In the end, they all go for love, not money, but for Schatze it works out on both fronts when the gas pump jockey has been hiding the fact that he’s actually worth $200 million.
All six are together when they find out and the girls faint, while the men toast their wives.
🎥 Arizona Raiders (1965)
Audie Murphy stars as Clint Stewart, who is arrested and sentenced to twenty years in prison for riding with Confederate outlaws.
He is given a way out though, if he agrees to track down a band of renegades, which he does.
Initially, he wants to just make an escape across the border to Mexico, but when his brother and best friend are killed by the outlaws, he then plots to bring their reign of terror to an end.
