πŸͺ± How to treat the woman in your life to the perfect date

Anyone can buy chocolates or flowers and go to an expensive restaurant.

What about doing something totally different?

All is revealed in the video.

🎣 The headgear changes but the fishing stays the same

It was a chilly start to the day, so much so in fact, that my woolly hat put in an appearance.

I can’t recall the last time I wore it, it’s been mostly a cap in recent months.

However, although there was a change of head attire, the fishing itself continued as it has been since the start of the month.

Tackle, bait and tactics

Greys Prodigy TX 12’ rod. Shimano 3500M reel. Maxima Chameleon 4lb line.

Drennan 1.2g waggler. Drennan Super Specialist size 10 hook.

A sharp drop-off from the margins, so fishing in six-feet of water, just off the rod tip.

I presented a single prawn and, due to the depth of water, I created a firm groundbait mix which contained loose maggots and prawns.

Jay in trees on the far bank.

🍁 The last swift of the year?

Arriving home from fishing, as I got out of my car on the drive, I saw a swift in flight across the valley from east to west.

Could this be the final swift (September 11) of the year?

πŸͺ΄ Working in the garden

You can never have too much water in the garden, and today I bought an oak barrel, to establish a patio water feature.

It looks really nice and it’s now full of water, which I will leave to stand for some time, before putting putting fish in.

In order to accommodate it on the patio, we did some shuffling around of the pots and the table and chairs.

A change is as good as a rest, and all that, and we’re both very happy with how the patio looks now.
