🎥 How To Murder Your Wife (1965) starring Jack Lemmon, Virna Lisi and Terry-Thomas
Stanley Ford (played by Jack Lemmon) is a cartoonist and a committed bachelor.
At a bachelor party, while very drunk, somehow he ends up getting married to the Italian girl (played by Virna Lisi) who pops up out of the cake.
He tries to get a quick divorce, but he can’t, so he writes in his cartoon column that his character is going to kill his wife.
Mrs. Ford flees to Italy and Stanley Ford is assumed to have killed her.
He is acquitted, goes home and finds she has returned.
He realises he loves her, so they reunite.
Meanwhile, she’s brought her mom with her who has an instant attraction for Mr. Ford’s butler, also a dedicated bachelor, played by Terry-Thomas.
The feelings are mutual and that’s how the movie ends.
