Today, as you can see in the video on the next page, the flag from the land of my fathers is proudly displayed on my garage door at home.
Born in Staffordshire, I’m very proud to be English, but I’m also equally proud of my Welsh roots.
I’ve got heritage from across the border on both my paternal and maternal sides.
When I was younger, I can remember m y nan showing me a Bible that her mother, Annie Edwards, was given, when she left Wales and moved across the border.
There was an inscription in the front but, as a child, I wasn’t interested. I’d love to know now though what it said.
