🎶 With A Lot O’ Soul and it’s another classic from The Temptations
The latest album to accompany me in the car is The Temptations’ With A Lot O’ Soul, which was released in July, 1967.
Because they’re my favourite group, every song on an album has an attraction but, of course, there are always those tracks which rise above the others.
As far as this album is concerned, All I Need and You’re My Everything have been longstanding favourites but the one that claims top spot in my affections is (Loneliness Made Me Realise) It’s You That I Need.
The song, with David Ruffin on lead, tells the story of someone looking back on a broken relationship and realising he doesn’t want it to end.
A brilliant track, which is getting lots of ‘play again’ attention in the car, it was written by Norman Whitfield and Eddie Holland and produced by the former.
