🎣 Best perch of the year and dealing with snagged fish
It was back to early morning fishing today and, on a small pool, I caught bream, perch and roach, including the best perch of the year so far at 1-9-8.
I also had a snagged tench, which unfortunately I lost, but the video includes dealing with fish when you find yourself in that position.
It’s a longer video this time, which covers bait, approach and, of course, the fish caught.
My wife also puts in an appearance.
Tackle: Greys Prodigy TX 12’ rod. Shimano 3500M reel. Maxima Chameleon 4lb line. Drennan waggler 1.2g. Drennan Super Specialist size 10 hook.
Nature notes: Skylark singing (heard but not seen) over a field as I made my way to the pool. Female mallard with four reasonably well-developed young in tow, making their way across the pool, heading towards the next body of water. Female mallard with a tiny duckling. Grey wagtail landed on far bank branches from a fallen tree in the water.
