Angling clothes for a fraction of the branded price, playing football, watching football and fishing a lake
I’m in the market for some fishing trousers and, after coming across some Fox joggers, I decided to do an internet search.
I found some on the Primark website that were just £6. Needless to say, they were a fraction of the angling-branded clothing price.
Therefore, my wife and I visited Merry Hill shopping centre, and I took a closer look.
I was very impressed and, as I can live without a fishing logo on the side, I bought a couple of pairs of green joggers.
Before I could try them out though, my attention was drawn to the football pitch.
I enjoy playing the beautiful game and, combined with a win and a personal performance that I was happy with, it was a good evening.
It got even better though, as I caught up with the England v Italy UEFA Women’s Euro semi-final game on television when I arrived home.
What a cracking finale it was. A very late equaliser (90+6), followed by a 119th winner, ensured that the Lionesses progress to the final.
I’m not one of those people who watches lots of football on television, but when I do, I certainly enjoy it.
It goes without saying that I also enjoy my fishing as well and that’s what I was doing just a few hours later.
Back on the tench lake, I fished a grain of sweetcorn over brown crumb and corn at 20 yards.
I caught roach and tench and you can follow the session via the video.
