🎣 Live blogging from an angling session on a reservoir
10.45 .m. Welcome to an angling session with a difference. Not only am I filming it (the video will appear at the base of the page once I’m home ) but also live blogging on here as well. Going live soon, watch this space…
11.15 a.m. Cast out, ready and waiting. It’s a huge reservoir, the fish aren’t wall-to-wall and, unless you have them already in front of you, it can be a wait. I’ve put some bait out though, the trap has been set and I’m confident, even though it’s a bitterly cold day and it’s still sub-zero air temperature.
12.00 noon Never mind it being cold this side of the reservoir, the water is freezing as well. I’ve put four decent sized balls of brown crumb, laced with maggots, about 25 yards from the bank, as I patiently wait for a bite.
1.00 p.m. In the words of Motown legend, Diana Ross, I’m still waiting. Not a tap, tremble or flicker on the rod tip. Did I mention that it’s cold? It’s bitterly so.
2.00 p.m. Ditto the above comment…
3.45 p.m. No fish, not even a bite. Never mind, there’s always another day, there’s always tomorrow.
