🎣 Sunday morning tench fishing
Although the lake that I’m currently fishing is a challenge – to put it mildly – at times, nevertheless I’m still targeting the tench on there.
To give you an idea how difficult it is, it was a beautiful Sunday morning and I was the only angler on there.
I can perfectly understand it, when fisherman have limited time, and therefore they want to give themselves a decent chance of catching something, so they go elsewhere.
In my case, I fish most days, and so therefore the occasional blank along the way is neither here nor there.
It was my usual approach, and I thought I was going to be on the right side of the line when I had a terrific bite, that pulled the rod out of the rest
However, within a few seconds, the hook parted company with the fish and that was that.
Repeat.
Then, as you can see in the video, it was a case of third-time lucky.
Tackle: Fox Barbel Special 1.5 test curve rod and an Okuma Zeon reel. 6lb Maxima Chameleon, with a six-inch hook-length created by a small shot and 8mm bead. Above that was a 1/2 ounce lead. Size 10 Drennan Super Specialist hook.
