🎣 A great start to the new month, with a pair of quality slabs on the Staffs/Worcs Canal
Although I didn’t get to bed until well after midnight, I was still up at 5.00 a.m. for an angling session on the Staffordshire/Worcestershire Canal.
It’s been a while since I fished the section in question, but last time I had a number of quality bream, spread over several visits.
Although perch were the species that I had in mind, nevertheless I did wonder if there would be any slabs in residence.
There were and, as you can see from the video, I caught a couple of really nice fish.

Nature notes: Chiffchaff singing in the immediate area, always great to hear.
