🎣 A short morning session, followed by the first radio show of the year
Although not as much as the day before, we again had snow during the night.
The angling session was much shorter this time, about an hour (I managed to do eighty minutes in the end) as I had my weekly Bayside Radio chat with Jeff Pearson.
Would I continue my impressive start to the year though?
The answer was, with one roach on the bank, that, yes I would.
That’s seven sessions so far in 2025 and roach on all of them.
Fished three rod-lengths out, in five feet of open water, over brown crumb and red/white maggots, with one/two white/red maggots on the hook, flicking the bait beneath overhanging trees.

Greys Prodigy TX 12’ rod. Shimano 3500M reel. Maxima Chameleon 4lb line. Drennan 1.2g float. Drennan Super Specialist size 16 hook.
