🎣 Chub fishing on the middle Severn
I wanted to do more chub fishing on the River Severn over the winter, unfortunately the conditions haven’t been ideal.
To put it mildly.
Now that we’re in spell where the middle reaches at least are decent, I’m taking advantage of a couple of days without work to target some chevins.
The first session saw me parking by the river with exactly 13 miles on the clock from leaving home.
Anglers travel from across the country to fish the middle Severn in particular, and I’m very thankful it’s so close to where I live.
Thirteen rural miles, as well, so easy travelling.
You can follow the session via the video below, with tackle and bait explained.
Well, unfortunately I didn’t bank any fish.
It was minus-5C by the time I packed away and, although it felt extremely cold, I’ll be back again chub fishing tomorrow.
As they say, watch this space.
