They’re actually aliens in human form and fending off an evil alien, the government and a couple of mobsters, he gets them safely to their space craft on Witch Mountain.
They safely return to their own planet, where they stave off an invasion of earth.

A Disney adventure fantasy movie where Meg’s (Storm Reid) father is a pioneering scientist who disappears into another universe.
Along with her brother, Charles Wallace, and friend, Calvin, they set off in search of him.
They are assisted by three friendly fantasy characters played by Mindy Kaling, Oprah Winfrey and Reese Witherspoon.
They find her father and bring him back to the present time on earth.
Jungle Cruise (2021)
Dr. Lily Hougton (Emily Blunt) and her brother, McGregor (Jack Whitehall), go in search of the tree of life in the Disney fantasy movie.
They team up with skipper, Frank Wolff (Dwayne Johnson), as they navigate the Amazon and its tributaries.
They fight off both natural and supernatural enemies along the way but find the tree of life in the end.
