🎣 I got there in the end and it was good to be on the right side of the fishing line
It was later than I wanted – due to the delay in the WBA v Wolves game – but I got there in the end.
Fishing that is.
With it being a Sunday, I was on the Staffordshire/Worcestershire Canal in less time than normal, and it’s quick anyway with it being so close.
Fishing in the boat channel over brown crumb and loose maggots, I presented two maggots on the deck.
It was very slow but I did have a couple of missed bites, the first one in particular felt like a nice fish.
It was, as they say though, a case of third-time lucky, when right at the end, the float sailed away and I got a small bream on the bank.
It’s a fine line sometimes but, when that’s the case, it’s always nice to be on the right side of it.
