Behind the Flintshire media scenes as The New Saints beat Connah’s Quay Nomads
The final game of 2023 was always going to be a big one, as second hosted first in the JD Cymru Premier.
With The New Saints enjoying a lead of nine points at the top of the table, it was a must-not-lose game as much as anything for Connah’s Quay Nomads.
However, it was the visitors who were celebrating come the final whistle, with goals from Brad Young (2), Ryan Brobbel and Josh Pask.
The 4-0 win extends the lead at the top to twelve points, plus TNS also has a game in hand.
With it being New Year’s Eve, the roads were kind as far as traffic was concerned and I made good time both on the journey to Flint and back home again.
