Project bathroom: Part one
We’ve been in our home for three years now and we’ve done – or at least had done in many instances – a fair amount of work, especially during the first year.
It’s time to push on with a few more projects though, the first of which is the bathroom.
We did ask someone to give us a quote on a new suite etc but he never got back, so after a few months we decided to do it ourselves.
This happened with a builder some time ago and I ended up doing the work myself, saving £1,800 in the process.
Rather than remodel the bathroom, we decided to keep everything as it is and just paint the bath.
As we already had paint from previous decorating work, so far we’ve spent just £32 (on bath paint) so it’s hardly broken the bank.
There’ll be more outgoings when we get the flooring, blind, bathroom cabinet and radiator painted but nothing compared to what it would have cost if we’ve have had it remodelled.
I’m looking forward to completion but in the meantime more than happy with part one of the project.
Hi Stewart, I work in Aldridge and have seen and heard Ring neck parakeets regularly over the last few weeks, Also saw a flock of about 10 flying over near Walsall Arboretum (heard them first) very vocal birds. Seems they are becoming quite common now. Merry Christmas to you and yours Stewart.. Jim.
Hello, Jim.
They’re definitely becoming more abundant in the wider area.
I know the Express & Star did a feature recently with lots of reports in there.
Merry Christmas to you and your family. Have a great time.
Merry Xmas Stewart & family, hope to see more videos in 2024.🎄🎅🐟
Many thanks for the kind words and a merry Christmas to you as well.
Nice hotel there Stewart, even though it resembles a maze inside, don’t know if I’d find my way out of there he he. And right by the marina too, lovely view, shame you can’t fish there, enjoy 😁 x
Hello, Debby!
It’s great, it’s one of those places where I think to myself, I’d love to bring my wife here.
I slept with the curtains open, what a lovely sight to wake up to.
P.S. I found the flotels on my walk. Perfect fishing from the deck.
Get your bags packed.
Sound like a fishermans dream he he
Or a non-fishing wife’s nightmare!
See you later tonight, I’m ten minutes away from Haverfordwest then it’s all focused for a few hours!
