The one that didn’t get away that got away
Continuing with my early morning tenching, I’ve now pushed the alarm time on as the days get shorter.
Not that I need it though, as I invariably beat the iPhone before it kicks off.
A familiar path that I’ve been treading since June, I was back on the lake, casting out and settling back to watch the rod tip.
Plus, drink tea. I don’t know about you, but I’m a big traditional tea drinker.
The first tench prompted the headline.
Fortunately, I did have others after that, so it wasn’t a case of fish but no images.
I captured a family of roosting swans, that you can see in the video.
There were also three circling cormorants over the lake.
Fortunately, they didn’t land but it just means they took the problem somewhere else.
I’m in my last week of tinca fishing before I move on to other species in September.
