A nice surprise first cast while mini jigging
I recently went mini jigging on the way to work for a very short session and, although I didn’t catch anything, I got the bug again as it had been a while since I last got the jigging rod out.
The beauty of lure fishing in general is that you travel with minimal gear, you don’t need to prepare the swim and you’re fishing in no time at all once you’re at the water’s edge.
On this occasion, I was on a shallow pool and pursuing perch.
I had a very nice surprise first cast when I caught a pike, which was followed by a small perch.
