A visit to the tackle shop which is probably the last one, a five star performance from my wife and an angling session on the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal
The video begins with a shopping trip. An angler’s shopping trip. In the car there and back, a nice chat with the tackle shop owner and two pints of mixed (red and white) maggots ready to go in the refrigerator at home. Sorted in no time at all.
I did put my wife on the spot, both before and after the visit to Black Country Tackle & Bait, in Brockmoor, with five questions. I was impressed, as she answered them all correctly. Although she doesn’t fish herself and has no interest in angling, she does have an awareness of what’s what because of being married to me.
In reference to the shop though, sadly it’s closing down towards the end of this month, and therefore all the best to Mark for the future. When we moved to our home five years ago, it’s where I started to go, as it’s my local tackle shop. Even then, it’s not exactly on my doorstep.
How did the Staffs & Worcs angling session go? Well, unfortunately, my wife’s prediction of a medium to large perch didn’t materialise. I still put a video together though, after all it’s important to not only talk about when you catch but when you don’t as well.
